Curiosity Outside The Classroom (Trips & Visits)
Spark curiosity in your students
About this course
School trips are powerful tools for creative learning. When well-planned and carefully designed, cultural visits can bring classroom learning to life, ignite imaginations, and create powerful moments of connection that stay with students for years. Successful arts-based trips can grow the Cultural Capital of your students, which can positively impact their life chances.
However, without the right preparation and planning, it’s also possible for students to go on a trip yet still miss out on many of these benefits.
Our 1-day CPD course helps teachers design trips that truly make an impact.
The current challenge
-
50% of school leaders reported cutting trips in 2023
-
68% of leaders in deprived areas made cuts
These findings from The Sutton Trust (2023) underline the need to make every school trip count - especially for those who benefit most.
