Media Profile | Saul Argent, Cultural Education Research Specialist
About Saul
Having worked in cultural education for the past decade, Saul is now undertaking a PhD with Goldsmiths, University of London, in partnership with Curious Minds, to better understand the impact of artists working with schools.
Using psychological research methods across a number of studies will generate important empirical data that can contribute to developing a clearer picture of the value of this work. Saul is particularly interested in how working with artists might impact students' creativity, curiosity and critical thinking, as well as how this work affects teachers and the artists themselves.
His past experience, which lends itself to this research, includes leading operations for creative education charity, Escape2Make (2023-present); managing Curious Minds' Hope Streets project, transforming how heritage organisations work with young people (2018-23); and leading Pop Up Projects' literature projects in schools (2015-18).
